Introduction

This Association was established on 10th October 2005 with the aim of looking after the welfare of our families/community and solve any problems that occur within the Association, working with all the members together in the event of death and in all aspects, development of all Magars and to preserve our Magar's Culture (This is the “MOTTO” of the Association).

In the beginning 2005, under the chairmanship of Ex- President Mr Mohan Bahadur Ale, an Executive committee consisting of 21 members was formed. After 7 years from its formation, first convention was held on 19th May 2012 at Harrow Borough Football Club. Altogether 75 members including election commission, advisors, committee members, members and their families were in attendance. On the occasion, under the chairmanship of the President Mr Krishna Rana, 11 new committee members were formed and elected/selected members from the Magar community were announced by the election commission, who congratulated the new and old committee members and wished the new committee members for a successful 3 years term.

On 9th December 2012, to make this Association strong enough, two other committees have been formed. Under the chairmanship of the President Mrs Shasikala Thapa Magar, 11 women committees have been formed and under the chairmanship of the President Miss Yamuna Ale, 13 youth committees have been formed.

The both new committee (Women/Youth) are now doing their best to fulfill their duties and responsibilities for the Association (UKMAWMB).
